THE JOURNEY

Sometimes the Bible can be a little confusing, especially when you don’t have a grasp of the big picture.

“The Journey” is a small group Bible study where we will be taking small bites of scripture as we conside the entirety of its message.  Starting with Genesis we’ll walk through the Bible and explore how the message of the Messiah weaves its way through all of God’s word.  The study will be discussion focused with presentation by the leader, lots of opportunity for questions, and assigned study to do at home

We will meet at the Johnstone’s at 6 pm with a varying schedule.  Come and join us!

A STUDY ON HEBREWS

The writer of Hebrews looked to encourage Jewish believers who were in danger of falling away from the faith.  In his exhortation he refers to the Jewish sacrificial system, the function and layout of the tabernacle, the old and new covenants, and the priesthoods of Aaron, Melchizedek, and Jesus.  We’ll unpack all of these topics in the Old Testament and apply them to the book of Hebrews and our lives in Christ.  We’ll also explore faith in depth through Hebrews 11, the greatest explanation of faith ever written.

You’ll be blessed as you gain a greater understanding of how the Old Testament lays the foundation for key New Testament doctrines.   We’ll also join together in prayer for one another “meeting together… encouraging one another – all all the more as you see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25b)

We will meet at the Berets’ home at 7 pm on Thursdays.  Join us!
